The Naxalites are surrendering due to the development works under the Nayed Nella Nel Nail scheme being run in the district with constant pressure from the security forces and the increasing internal discord within the organization. In this episode, a total of 9 Maoists, including a total of 4 Maoists worth Rs 23 lakh, surrendered to the police.
The Maoists who surrendered include a prize party member of Rs 8 lakh working in the PLGA Battalion area actively banned in the PLGA Battalion area, a prize ACM of 5 lakhs working in the AOB division, ACM of ACM, Jagrgunda Area Committee and Rs 5 lakhs working in South Sub Zonal Bureau 2 ACMs.
The surrendered Maoists said that they want to live a family life freely by joining the mainstream of society. After surrendering, all the Maoists joining the mainstream of the society were provided cash of 25-25 thousand rupees as an incentive.
Maoist organizations are becoming weaker due to the arrest of 503 Maoists in the year 2024 with the surrender of 189 Maoists, smaller and small of the Maoist cadre, the death of 58 Maoists. So far in the year 2025, 40 Maoists have surrendered, 101 Maoists have been arrested, and 56 Maoists have been killed in separate encounters.
