The prisoner imprisoned in jail can never think in his dream that he will get an opportunity to bathe in Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, but this is proving to be a reality for the prisoners imprisoned in all 33 jails of Chhattisgarh. These prisoners are being given a collective bath with Ganga water brought from Prayagraj Mahakumbh as per their wish.
Chhattisgarh Home Minister Vijay Sharma has brought Ganga water for prisoners from Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Due to this Ganga water, not only Raipur Central Jail but also in prisoners of other 4 Central Jails, 20 District Jails and 8 Sub-Jail are bathing. Through this bath, the prisoners hoped to attain mental and spiritual peace.
Director General (Jail) Himanshu Gupta has made special arrangements for this event. He said that in the morning, in the morning, all the 33 jails of Chhattisgarh have bathed in the holy water of Mahakumbh Sangam site. In this program, prisoners and jail staff have participated in joy. This is a positive step towards promoting religious and spiritual importance among prisoners.
