Iran continues to ‘high alert’ amidst the possibility of a possible attack by America and Israel at nuclear sites

Tehran
Iran has released a ‘high alert’ amid the possibility of a possible attack of the US and Israel at its atomic sites. According to a recent report, Iranian officials suspect that the two countries together may target its nuclear program. This warning comes at a time when tension in the region is at its peak and the international community is monitoring Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The Iranian government has indicated to strengthen its military preparations, although no official confirmation has been done yet. Experts believe that this condition can cause new instability in the Middle East.

Iran increased security of nuclear sites, fears of possible attack
According to a report by Britain’s newspaper The Telegraph, Iran has deployed additional air defense system at these important sites and strengthened security. Earlier, America’s intelligence agencies warned the Biden and then the Trump administration of a possible Israeli attack on the Iranian nuclear bases this year.

Israeli attacks and Iran’s response
Iran had been securing its atomic sites for a long time, but in the last one year it has further intensified security measures, especially since Israel attacked Iran for the first time. According to the US media outlet ‘Axios’, Israel had carried out air strikes on the Parchin military complex, where Iran was allegedly doing research related to nuclear weapons. The “Taleghan 2” facility was destroyed in this attack. The report quoted sources as saying, “Iran is waiting for a possible attack every night and is cautious, even on the bases that are not publicly known.”

Trump’s return and pressure on Iran again
After Donald Trump re -sworn in as an US President in January 2025, he has restored the “maximum pressure” policy against Iran. This is the policy he adopted in his first term. Under this policy, the US unilaterally separated itself from the 2015 nuclear deal and imposed strict restrictions on Iran. The US alleges that Iran is secretly developing nuclear weapons, which it has continuously rejected. However, Trump recently talked about making a new agreement with Iran, but Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei made it clear on 15 February that, “There will be no problem by talking to America.”

Israel threatens “final attack”
A day after Khamenei’s statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that his country would “last strike” against Iran with the help of America. Netanyahu said, “In the last 16 months, Israel has attacked Iran’s terrorist network. In the strong leadership of President Trump and with unwavering support of America, I have no doubt that we will complete this task. ”

Significantly, after Hamas’s attack on 7 October 2023, Israel launched a war with Iran -backed Hamas in Gaza. In addition, he has also fought with Hizbullah in Lebanon, Iran -backed armed groups in Yemen and Iran. US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz said last week, “Iran is a dictatorial rule that cannot be given control of nuclear weapons. All options are open. ” The report stated that the Israeli attacks have weakened Iran’s air defense system, and even though it has deployed additional launchers, it is still sensitive to major attacks.

Iran’s defense system is primarily dependent on domesticly developed techniques and Russian S-300 missiles, which may prove to be inadequate in front of Israeli weapons. In view of this, Iran has demanded a rapid supply of S-400 missiles from Russia. In addition, Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) chief General Amir Ali Hajizadeh has said that Iran is developing a new ballistic missile defense system to face the rising threat from Israel.
