According to media reports, the road accident occurred in the ancient evil province when the bus was traveling from northern Thailand to coastal Reyong province. There was a team in the bus, who went out on a municipal study tour.

Passenger vehicles will be intensified to check security standard
The Transport Department said that it would coordinate with the police in the investigation of this road accident. Also, the investigation of all passenger vehicles will be intensified, ensuring whether they meet safety standards or not.

Thailand is ranked 9th in case of deaths in road accident
According to media reports, road safety is a major problem in Thailand. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Thailand is ranked 9th of 175 member countries in case of road accident deaths. This information was reported in October last year when a school bus caught fire and teachers including 23 young students died in the accident. All went on the field trip to the school. Doubt was expressed that the fire in the bus was due to maintenance and negligence of inspections.

Bus collided with a tree in Prachuap Kheri Khan, 14 people were killed
In December 2023, another bus accident occurred in western province of Prachuap Kheri Khan. A bus full of 49 people got off the road and collided with a tree. In this accident, 14 people died and more than 30 people were injured. The police had expressed the possibility of the driver sleeping behind the accident.
