Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has said that providing affordable and better health services to people is among the priorities of the government. It is our responsibility to relieve people from the expenses of treatment. The government is continuously working to ensure better healthcare for every section of the society. This was stated by Prime Minister Shri Modi at the rock ceremony of Shri Bageshwar Dham Medical Science and Research Institute to be built at a cost of Rs 218 crore in Garha in Chhatarpur district.

Prime Minister Shri Modi said that before the year 2014, poor people in the country were afraid of more treatment than disease. He started the Ayushman Bharat Yojana to remove this concern of the poor. Now under this scheme, free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh is being available to the poor. Under the scheme, free treatment facilities are also being provided to senior citizens above 70 years of age. Prime Minister Shri Modi also mentioned the introduction of PM Jan Aushadhi Kendras, where medicines are available at 80 percent discount. Cancer drugs have been cheaper in this year’s budget. The government is preparing to open Cancer Day Care Center in every district in the next three years. More than fifteen hundred dialysis centers have been opened in more than 700 districts of India to fight against kidney disease, where free facilities are being provided. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that he is engaged in public service by becoming his servant for the public.
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that Mahakumbh in Prayagraj is the Mahakumbh of unity, in which service is being displayed. He congratulated the hard work and loyalty of the scavengers who contributed significantly to keep the Kumbh site clean and clean for 24 hours in Mahakumbh. He appreciated that the police officers and employees won the hearts of the countrymen with full enthusiasm and resolve. Prime Minister Shri Modi discussed the Netra Mahakumbh where more than 2 lakh persons were investigated.
