Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan is allegedly caught in controversies with an alleged derogatory remarks about Hindu festival Holi. A criminal complaint was filed against him, after which the investigation has come under investigation. He called Holi a “festival of chaparis” which is being opposed across the country.
Vikas Fatak, popularly known as Hindustani Bhau, who appeared in ‘Bigg Boss 13’, has filed a complaint against Farah Khan through his lawyer Advocate Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh. On February 20, Farah made a controversial statement during an episode by the television show Celebrity MasterShef.
The complaint claimed that Khan called Holi a “festival of chaparis”, used a word that is widely considered derogatory. Hindustani Bhau also said that Khan’s comment has hurt his personal religious sentiments and the feelings of the Hindu community.
The complaint stated that the use of the word ‘Chhapari’ to describe the holy festival is highly inappropriate and it is likely to cause communal tension. ” An FIR has been registered against Farah Khan under sections 196, 299, 302 and 353 of the Indian Penal Code. Farah Khan, who is currently a judge of Celebrity MasterShef, made a comment about the festival of Holi, which gave rise to a sharp reaction among the necrosion. He said- “Holi is the favorite festival of all the people.” For those who do not know, the word “Chhapari” is considered a racist abuse. Khan was trolled on social media for this.
