Deepti Gaur Mukherjee, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, reviewed the Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme PMIS in the ministry here. In this meeting organized in the presence of Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, the implementation and impact of the PMIS scheme in Chhattisgarh was comprehensive evaluated. In the meeting, Balamurugan D., Secretary, Skill Development Technical Education and Employment Department of Chhattisgarh, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, Dr. S. Bhartidasana, Registrar of Chhattisgarh – Co -Government Commandant Sitaram Sharan Gupta, Higher Education Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Secretary, Labor Department Secretary, and Additional Secretary of School Education were also present.

The meeting held widespread discussion on evaluating the effectiveness of the first phase of the plan and creating a strategic approach for its second phase smooth implementation. Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain expressed full commitment to the state government on PMIS and assured to make active efforts to ensure the success of the scheme, so that the youth of Chhattisgarh can get maximum benefits. The meeting held a dialogue session with representatives of major industrial partners like NSE, GPIL and Power Grid currently internships under PMIS. These organizations have played an important role in providing theoretical and practical training, which can effectively reduce the distance between academic knowledge and industry requirements.

During the meeting, Internues shared their experiences and explained how positively the program has affected their professional skills and career prospects. Secretary Smt. Deepti Gaur Mukherjee interacted with the Internues and sought suggestions for the challenges and its effective implementation during the scheme. Internues of this Shri Ram Finance, ICIC Bank and other reputed companies also attended the meeting through virtual and shared their positive experiences towards the plan.

Subsequently, a special session was held with industry representatives, in which their role, obeisance to ensure the success of the scheme, the success of the scheme, the best practices adopted to ensure the success of the scheme, and the arrangements to ensure timely grant to the interns Discussed Conflicts related to any possible delay in payment of grant were also raised and it was agreed to take necessary steps to resolve them.

The meeting concluded in a very positive environment, in which all the stakeholders reiterated their collective commitment to further strengthen the PMIS structure in Chhattisgarh. The suggestions received from this session and the second phase of the discussion plan will be helpful in making more effective, structured and result or -oriented.
