The celebration of the royal wedding of Bastar royal family has started. After the turmeric ritual, the royal procession of King Kamalchand Bhanjadeva of Bastar Gaddi came out with historical grandeur on the streets of the city. This royal procession included elephants, horses and camels, on which the royal symbol of the royal family was equipped.
Kamalchand Bhanjadeva rode on the elephant and left the palace and left the procession after taking the blessings of mother Danteshwari. Majhi Chawki and traditional representatives of the old Bastar princely state were also present in the procession. The procession reached back to the palace, passing through the main routes of Jagdalpur.
The procession will go to Madhya Pradesh by special aircraft
According to the schedule, today Kamalchand Bhanjadev will take his procession and reach Nagaud Rajmahal in Madhya Pradesh with a chartered flight, where the marriage will take place. After marriage, the procession will return to Jagdalpur by special aircraft.
Royal procession came out after 107 years
A large number of city dwellers flocked to the streets to see this historical occasion. The last time 107 years ago, former Maharaja Rudra Pratap Dev’s procession came out of the palace. After so many years, Kamalchand Bhanjadev revived this tradition, which saw an atmosphere of special enthusiasm in Jagdalpur.
