Gujarat Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai presented the budget of financial year 205-26 in the assembly, important announcements made

Gujarat Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai presented the budget of FY 205-26 in the assembly. A total of 3 lakh 70 thousand 250 crore budget has been made several major announcements for farmers and agriculture sector. ₹ 2175 crore has been allocated for farmers to ensure electricity during the day. Apart from this, ₹ 400+ crores have been allotted for various initiatives promoting natural agricultural campaign and the assistance of farmers for tractor purchases has been increased to ₹ 1 lakh. ₹ 1612 crore has been allocated for agricultural equipment, mini tractors, fertilizers and equipment.

In his address, Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai said, ‘The world’s fastest growing economy pioneer, self -reliant India’s dream, Gujarat’s son and most popular leader in the world, Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji for the third time to take over the reins of India. I congratulate the Honorable Chief Minister and all the people of Gujarat. In the good governance index, Gujarat gets “first place” in the country – our government’s commitment to fiscal discipline and infrastructure development. The state has been given the status of “Achievers” in the NITI Aayog’s fiscal discipline index.

Finance Minister counted the achievements of the government
Describing Gujarat as the development engine of the country, the Finance Minister said that Gujarat, whose land area is only 6% and the population is 5%, contributes 8.3% to the country’s total GDP. Through our continuous efforts, we are committed to increase this contribution by 2030 to more than 10%. He said that Gujarat contributes 18% to the industrial production of the country. About 41% of the country’s total exports are through the ports of Gujarat.

The Finance Minister said that effective planning and implementation of nutritional schemes will be the main objective of our government. Various schemes are being implemented by various departments for nutrition and health. The Finance Minister said, “While giving priority to nutrition, I propose a provision of about 8200 crores for these schemes, which is about 21% more than the previous year.”

Many important announcements
The Finance Minister said that the government has decided to increase the physical facilities of Anganwadis to strengthen the nutrition and development of children. To make it more effective, I have made a provision of Rs 274 crore for the Anganwadi scheme. He said, ‘This year we are celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Mundaji of the tribal community as the tribal pride year. In this special context, I propose an allocation of ₹ 1100 crore with an increase of 37.5% for the New Gujarat Pattern scheme for the overall development of tribals. This will further boost education, employment and development of infrastructure in tribal areas.

The Finance Minister said that in order to realize the sentiments of the Honorable Prime Minister towards the disabled, I declare that under the “Sant Surdas Yojana”, more than 85 thousand disabled people with 60% or more disabled in place of 80% from now Annual assistance of ₹ 12,000 will also be provided.
