Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Mahakumbh is going on in Prayagraj and a semi Kumbh of water sports is starting in Bhopal. The police is also leaving its mark in sports, performing their duties of safety and maintaining law and order of citizens. Many police force soldiers have illuminated the name of the country by proving their talent at national and international level in various sports. Organizing the All India Competition in the historic big pond of Bhopal built by Raja Bhoj, is a matter of pride for the capital Bhopal including the state. This event will increase the trend of people towards water sports. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 24th All India Police Water Sports Competition.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was greeted by the police band on arrival at the venue Water Sports Center in the big pond. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav got acquainted with team managers from various states and police units who came to Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced the performance of the tricolor balloons and leaving them in the free sky. In front of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the March-Past and Ro-Past were demonstrated by the competitive teams. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also released the souvenir. On this occasion, the participating teams in the competition were also administered the oath. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was presented a memento of the All India event by Director General of Police Kailash Makwana. The program presented the tunes of patriotic songs continuously by the police band. Additional Chief Secretary Home J.N. Consotia and senior police officers were specially present.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is a matter of good fortune that those who take admission in police, paramilitary forces, army etc. are called jawans, with this intention they remain young for service. They continue to work with enthusiasm, enthusiasm and service and dedication towards the country and countrymen, this is the wish. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a healthy brain resides in a healthy body. Sports can also make the resolve of mind, intellect, soul’s purity. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav welcomed the teams of various states and central paramilitary forces on behalf of the state government and wished them success in the competition.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that according to mythological belief, there is special importance of water in Panchamabhutas. The organism originates from water, so organisms are always specially attracted towards water. The result of this is that for peace of mind, people often come to water sources. The huge rhythm of Bhopal built by Raja Bhoj is amazing, as well as a specific example of dam construction. It manages the accumulation of water through a composition made of rocks without blocking the river stream.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that 360 medals and trophies will be decided in water sports competitions running from 17 to 21 February through a total of 27 competitions of the women-male-male class of Kayaking, Canoeing and Rowing. The competition is participating in the country’s state police forces and 557 players from 22 teams of central paramilitary forces, out of which 123 are women. Earlier, five times Madhya Pradesh Police organized All India Police Water Sports Competition, this is the sixth All India competition.

Director General of Police Kailash Makwana said that sports have a long history globally. Sports are also mentioned in ancient Indian texts. The ponds developed in Bhopal by Raja Bhoj are providing the basis of water sports activities along with purifying the atmosphere and being a source of water. Bhopal’s name has emerged as the Water Sports Capital in the country. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, necessary cooperation and incentives are being provided by the state government.

It is noteworthy that Andaman and Nicobar, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Jammu Kashmir, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Assam Teams of Rifles, Border Security Force, CRPF, ITBP and Sashastra Seema Bal are participating.
