Finally, after the legal battle that lasted for 8 years, the tourist of Irish origin got justice. The Goa court sentenced Daniel McLclinine, a resident of Ireland, to life imprisonment for rape and murder.
The decision has been pronounced by the Madgaon Principal District and Sessions Court of Goa. The case is of 2017. Then Irish tourist Daniel McLclinine was killed in Canakona. In this case, a person named Vikat Bhagat has been sentenced to strict life imprisonment. She has also been sentenced to strict life imprisonment for raping the victim.
Goa came in February 2017
Let us know that 25 -year -old Daniel McLecalin was originally from Ireland. However, he had citizenship of both Britain and Ireland. She came with a friend to visit the British passport to visit Goa in the month of February 2017.
On the evening of March 13, she went to celebrate the Holi party in a village near Palolim Beach. She was late from coincidence and she was returning alone from the village for her hotel. But before she could return to the hotel room, she was raped and murdered.
The face was crushed with stone
The next day of the incident, on the morning i.e. 14 March 2017, Daniel McLclinine’s body was found lying on an empty space near Devbag Beach of Kanakona. There was not a single cloth on the corpse. Both his head and face were badly crushed.
Daniel’s post -mortem report revealed that he was raped before he was murdered. The post -mortem made it clear that he died due to pressure in the neck and brain haemorrhage.
The old history sheeter of the killer Goa
The police team investigating Daniel’s death came to know that after coming to India, he had befriended a boy named Vikat Bhagat. He was seen walking with Daniel in many places. However, according to the police, Vikg Bhagat is an old history sheeter of Goa, but perhaps Daniel did not know his truth. And this proved to be the biggest mistake of his life. Vikat Bhagat had confessed that he raped Daniel first after seeing the opportunity in the deserted area and then murdered him for fear of getting caught.
