207 private schools in Indore will be closed from new education session, the future of more than 31,000 children hangs in the balance

Indore
The date for applying for private schools from first to eighth has been passed. In this, only 1477 schools from the district have applied for recognition renewal, while 1684 schools are operating in the district.

In this way, 207 schools will be closed in the new education session, due to which more than 31 thousand children studying here will have to find a new school in the new education session. The main reason behind this is the condition of the new rule registered Kiryanama in recognition by the State Education Center.

The date for recognition renewal was 14 February

The State Education Center had announced the date of 23 December to 23 January for renewal application of private schools from first to eighth. After this, the application date was fixed on February 7 and February 14 with late fee.

1477 applications have come only

During this period, out of the total 1684 schools, only 1477 applications have been received. At present, the schools are being inspected at the Block Source Coordinator (BRC) level and the applications are being sent to the District Project Coordinator Office, but negligence is also being done in this.

The 1477 application is pending at 1172 BRC level only. Many of these applications have been 15 to 20 days old, while BRC has to advance the case in 15 days. Along with this, 208 cases are also pending at DPC level. So far only 217 cases have been approved.

Schools back due to a condition

The State Education Center has laid a new condition in recognition renewal this time. According to this, with the application, it has been made mandatory for the school operator to present the registered tenancy in the building where the school is being operated.

There are many schools in Indore district, which are operating places like illegal colony, agricultural land etc. For this reason, 207 school operators have not filled the application for renewal. However, there are some of these, where the students are already on the verge of closure due to low number of students.

Organization opposed

Last month, the MP Board Private School Association had protested and demanded the cancellation of this condition to remove the condition of the registered Kiryanama in recognition. It was said that notary Kiryanama should be implemented as before. There was a ban on taking a security fund of 40 thousand rupees for recognition. After this, the association also went to the High Court.
