Yashasvi’s exit is a major setback for Mumbai. Yashasvi will now go to BCCI’s Center of Excellence in Bangalore, where their injury will be examined. The semi -finals between Mumbai and Vidarbha are to be held in Nagpur from 17 February.

A source told TOI, ‘Yashasvi Jaiswal is out of the Ranji Trophy semi -finals. There is pain in the left ankle of Yashasvi. He fielded the practice session of Mumbai in Nagpur on Sunday, but looked uncomfortable while batting on the net. This is an old injury, which has emerged again. He will leave for BCCI’s Center of Excellence to start his recovery process.

Yashasvi Jaiswal got a place in the provisional squad for the Champions Trophy. But later he was dropped from the final squad. Mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty got a place in the Indian team in place of Yashasvi. However, Yashasvi has been placed in the list of non -traveling substitutes, including Mohammad Siraj and Shivam Dubey. If Yashaswi’s injury is serious, then another player can be included as a non -traveling substitute.
