Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed the historic one -day special assembly session to be held on 17 February in Kokrajhar, the center of the movement in Assam. PM Modi said in a post on X that the National Democratic Alliance governments at both Center and Assam are making tireless efforts to empower the Bodo community and fulfill the aspirations.
CM Sarma told the major agenda of the session
At the same time, Assam CM Himant Biswa Sarma gave information about development and said that a major agenda of the session would have to strengthen the administration of the sixth schedule areas. Describing this moment as the most important moment of his political career, CM Himant Biswa Sarma has also thanked Prime Minister Modi for the leadership and guidance.
CM Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote in a post on X, ‘Assam will achieve historic milestones on February 17, as Kokrajhar, which was once the center of the Bodoland movement, will hold a one -day special assembly session. The main agenda will have to strengthen the administration of the sixth schedule areas, in which the Governor’s address will be a major attraction. He said, this has been possible with the unwavering love of the Honorable Prime Minister to Assam and the guidance of the Honorable Home Minister. Their leadership will continue to carry forward our journey towards peace, stability and progress.
I saw lively Bodo culture- PM Modi
Reacting to the Chief Minister’s post, the Prime Minister welcomed it and also remembered his visit to Kokrajhar. PM Modi wrote- ‘The NDA governments at both Center and Assam are making tireless efforts to empower the Bodo community and fulfill the Bodo aspirations. These tasks will continue with more excitement. I miss my journey to Kokrajhar, where I saw lively Bodo culture. ‘
