After making a clean sweep 3–0 in the 3-match domestic ODI series to the England team, the Indian team has now started preparing for their next mission. The next mission of the Indian team captained by Rohit Sharma is the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is to be hosted by Pakistan.

The Champions Trophy 2025 is now only 6 days left. The tournament will begin on February 19, while the final match will be played on 9 March. The Indian team will play all their matches in Dubai. This tournament is returning after 8 years.

Will be the first team to do so in the Champions Trophy?

The first match of the Indian team will be against Bangladesh in Dubai on 20 February. After this, Team India has to play their second match on 23 February. This match will be against Pakistan. Team India will play its third i.e. the last match against New Zealand on 2 March.

If Rohit Brigade wins both her initial matches, she will make a historical record. In fact, in the Champions Trophy so far, the Indian team holds the record for winning the most 18 matches. After him is the second number of England, who won 14 matches.

If the Indian team defeats Bangladesh and Pakistan in both their initial matches, then they will register their 20th win in the Champions Trophy. Which no one has been able to do till now. In this way, Team India will become the first team to win 20 matches in the Champions Trophy.

However, the Indian team has to win only 2 matches in the tournament to make this record. He has to play 3 matches in the group stage. For the semi -finals, out of these three, the Indian team will have to win 2 matches. If this happens, the record is sure to be made.

There will be a total of 15 matches in Champions Trophy

The Champions Trophy 2025 will have a total of 15 matches between 8 teams. The teams are divided into 2 groups. India and Pakistan are in the same Group-A. He is accompanied by the remaining two teams New Zealand and Bangladesh. While Group-B has South Africa, Australia, Afghanistan and England. All 8 teams will play 3-3 matches in their respective groups.

After this, the top-2 teams of every group will qualify for the semi-finals. The first semi -final will be in Dubai, while the second will be in Lahore. After this, the final match will be played. In such a situation, if a team reaches the final, then they will play a total of 5 matches in the tournament.

All matches will be played on 4 venue

All these 15 matches of the Champions Trophy will be played on 4 venue. There will be 3 venue in Pakistan. While a venue will remain Dubai. The Indian team will play all their matches in Dubai. If the Indian team qualify, the final will also be in Dubai. Otherwise, the title match will be played in Lahore on 9 March.

A reserve day has also been kept for the semi -final matches and finals. The first semi -final will be in Dubai. While the second semi -final will be played in Lahore. 10 matches, including a semi -final, will be held on 3 venue of Pakistan. All three Venu are Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi.
