Successful organizing ‘pre-bid conference’ for auction of iron ore blocks in Chhattisgarh

The ‘Pre-Bid Conference’ was organized by the Directorates of Geology and Minery, Chhattisgarh at the convention hall at New Circuit House, Nawa Raipur today for auction of iron ore blocks of Bailadila region of Bastar. The meeting was attended by mining investors and bidders from across the country, where auction process, investment opportunities, and mineral resources were discussed in detail.
On this occasion, the auction process of three world -class iron ore blocks located in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh and a block of North Bastar Kanker was discussed. Senior officials and experts of the Department of Minerals answered the questions of the participants and explained the e-auction process in detail.
P. Dayanand, Secretary, Department of Minerals, said that Chhattisgarh is a state of immense possibilities in terms of mineral resources, which provides opportunities for widespread development in the field of industry, trade, and employment. He said that Chhattisgarh’s role will be important in realizing the resolve of self -reliant India, as huge stores of high quality iron ore are available here. He assured the bidders to invest in Chhattisgarh and assured that the government would provide them all possible assistance. He said that Bailadila region is the backbone of the steel industry of India and the development of the region will increase the local economy and employment.
GSI Deputy Director General Amit Dharawadkar said that Chhattisgarh is the second most prosperous mineral -rich state in the country. He said that the iron ore area spread from Bailadila to Dallirajhra is counted among the world’s important iron ore reserves, which plays an important role in meeting the needs of India’s steel industry.
Highlighting the auction process and the importance of iron ore blocks, the Director of Directorate of Geology and Money, Director Sunil Kumar Jain said that it is necessary to ensure the availability of raw materials to increase steel production in the country by 2030. Joint Director and Nodal Officer (Auction) Anurag Dewan said that Chhattisgarh is one of the most suitable states for industrial investment and it will play an important role in realizing the development of India 2047.
Online tender documents can be purchased by 37 February 2025 under the auction process. The last date to submit the tender till 38 February 2025 till 3 pm. Interested bidders can get detailed information by visiting the Directorates Bhumiki and Mineankharm, Indravati Bhavan, Block-4, second floor at Nawa Raipur. Mining companies, industrial groups and investors across the country participated enthusiastically in the pre-bid conference. In view of the high quality of iron ore reserves located in the Bailadila region of Chhattisgarh, there was a positive trend in the auction process in view of the environment for investment. The event is an important step towards setting up Chhattisgarh as a leading state in the field of mining and steel production.
