Since commenting on Chum Dong, YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s difficulties seem to be increasing. Elvish has been summoned by the National Commission for Woman for the racial remarks made against Chum Darang. A report states that he has been asked to appear on 17 February. NCW took cognizance after Elvish made derogatory comments on Kiss on his podcast. He made fun of Kiss’s name and ethnicity, for which he had to face severe criticism. He also made fun of his work in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, making fun of Kiss.
He said, ‘Karanvir was sure because who likes kiss, brother, who is so bad! And kisses have obscenity in the name… The name is done in Kiss and Kama Gangubai Kathiawadi. ‘
Elvish commented on kiss
His comment faced a lot of criticism on social media. According to PTI report, Arunachal Pradesh State Women’s Commission (APSCW) has strongly condemned the ‘abusive and racist’ comments. In a letter addressed to the Chairman of the National Commission for Women, APSCW Chairman Kanzum Pakam said that this comment is an insult not only to Chum but also the women of Northeast India. The Commission demanded strict action against Elvish and asked the officials to resolve the issue as per the law.
Kiss wrote all this in the note
Chum has also given a tough reaction on this issue. He posted a note condemning Elvish’s comment. Without naming him, he reported that Elvish had crossed the line between jokes and hatred. Chum wrote, ‘It is not’ fun ‘to disrespect someone’s identity and name. Making fun of someone’s achievements is not ‘joke’. Now the time has come to draw the line between humor and hatred. Even more disappointing is that it was not only about my ethnicity, my hard work and filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali were also disrespected.
