The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is going to start from March 22, but cricket fans have suffered a major setback before the start of season-18. This time it will be mandatory for fans to take subscription to watch IPL matches. Earlier, where the entire tournament could be enjoyed on Geosynema for Rs 29, now this facility has been removed. The new streaming platform ‘Geographstar’ has been launched after the merger of Geosinema and Disney+ Hotstar, and now the option of watching IPL matches free is over.
Money will have to be given to watch matches
According to the Reuters report, fans without subscription will now be able to watch the IPL 2025 matches for just a few minutes. After this, they will be redirected to the subscription page, where plans starting from Rs 149 will be available. Live streaming of IPL 2025 will now be completely behind Pavall (paid). After the merger of Geosynema and Disney+ Hotstar, the facility of free streaming has been abolished this season. Fans will have to pay a fixed fee to watch the entire match.
Free streaming facility ended
Geosynema had achieved the IPL digital rights for five years from 2023, under which Jio users were allowed to watch matches for free. However, now from IPL 2025, fans will have to buy subscriptions according to their needs.
