Pakistan has entered the final of the ODI Tri Series 2025. Pakistan registered a memorable victory by 6 wickets against South Africa on Wednesday night. South Africa gave a target of 353 runs at the Karachi ground, which Pakistan achieved at the loss of four wickets in 49 overs. Pakistan chased the mountain -like target and created a new record on the basis of the centuries of captain Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Aga. Pakistan has made the largest target in its ODI history. The Pakistan team has achieved the target of 350 plus for the first time.
Chasing the target, Pakistan started a huge start. Fakhar Zaman (41) and Babar Azam (23) added 57 runs for the first wicket. Mulder lbw Babur in the seventh over. Corbin Bosch hunted Saud Shakeel (15) in the tenth over while Mulder sent Fakhar to the pavilion in the 11th over. Pakistan was in a state of struggle after losing three wickets for 91 runs, but Rizwan and Salman took the front. Both of them made a historic partnership of 260 runs for the fourth wicket, disturbing the South African bowlers.
This is the third largest partnership in ODIs for Pakistan. Salman scored 134 runs in 103 balls, including 16 fours and two sixes. He became a victim of lungi angidi in the 49th over. He scored a century for the first time in ODIs. At the same time, Rizwan remained unbeaten after scoring 122 runs in 128 balls. He hit 9 fours and 3 sixes. This is the fourth century of Rizwan’s ODI career. Tayyab Tahir remained unbeaten after scoring 4 runs. He hit the winning four and Pakistan achieved the target by scoring 355 runs. Earlier, South Africa scored 352 runs for five wickets after winning the toss.
South Africa scored a challenging score with the help of brilliant innings of captain Tempa Bawuma (82), Matthew Breetjke (83) and Hinrich Klassen (87). It seemed that the match would go to the peak of the thrill, but Rizwan and Salman proved the big score as dwarf. Host Pakistan will face New Zealand in the final of the ODI Tri-series on 14 February. New Zealand made it to the finals after trampling Pakistan and South Africa. South Africa had to face defeat in two matches. The Champions Trophy will start from 19 February.
