The re-development work of the main railway station in Indore is going to start soon. A new station will start till Simhastha. During the construction period, the train running from the main railway station will operate from Laxmibai Nagar railway station. The company of Ahmedabad will start work by March. This project will cost four and a half crore rupees. The amount has also been allocated for this in the recently released railway budget. The railway station here will be equipped with modern facility and the building will also be four storeys. There will also be a focus of the railway department on passenger facility.
New railway station will be built according to 50 years of needs
MP Shankar Lalwani said that the new railway station will be built by keeping the needs of fifty years in mind. The surrounding land will also be taken for this. Work order has been issued to the manufacturer. The workplan has been sought from the construction agency regarding the platform during the construction period. Some trains will also be operated from Laxmibai Nagar Road station. The new railway station will be expanded to the park road.
This facility will be available in the new railway station
The building of the new station will be built on the lines of the airport. There will be shop, foodzone inside. For passengers, comfortable foot and bridges, escalators, tickets, sheds will be made. Waiting forms will be larger and modern than before. Rum, roof plaza, platform cover area will be formed to stop passengers. Officers have been asked to plan the metro station on Regal with railway station.
Apart from this, there will also be multilevel parking, so that the trains that are parking for a long time can be kept systematic. Park Road will also be connected to the new station. New platforms on Indore railway station will also be built in a straight line.
Right now there is a possibility of accidents due to the gap on the platform. Part of parking and parcel department for the new railway station can also be taken for passenger convenience. The parcel department will be shifted to another place. The construction of the new station was done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year.
