The joint team of Excise Department and Kawardha Police have got great success in the liquor smuggling case. An accused has been arrested with liquor worth more than 20 lakh rupees. A large quantity of liquor was filled in a truck from Madhya Pradesh. Which is feared to be spent in the urban body elections. This case is of Chilfi police station area.
According to the information, it was received from the informer that a large number of liquor in a truck was coming towards Chhattisgarh. The Excise Department team caught the liquor smuggler late on Tuesday night. During interrogation, the accused called his name Rajesh Jamre and a resident of Indore. The number was written on the truck mp09gh5531.
Police found 393 boxes of country liquor and 100 boxes of English liquor from the truck in checking. Accused Rajesh Jamre has been arrested under Section 34 (1) a, 34 (2) 36,59 (a). The police has started further action.
