The Lokayukta court of Bhopal has sent former RTO constable Saurabh Sharma, his associates Chetan Singh Gaur and Sharad Jaiswal to judicial custody till 17 February. Even after 7 days remand, the Lokayukta did not get any concrete information.
On Tuesday (February 4), Saurabh Sharma, Chetan Gaur and Sharad Jaiswal were produced by the Lokayukta in the court. The Lokayukta demanded that the three accused be sent to judicial custody in the court. Earlier, the Lokayukta team reached the court from the back path of the three accused. Earlier, his medical checkup was done at Hamidia Hospital. Then he was rushed to court by two vehicles.
Lokayukta did not ask for Saurabh Sharma’s remand
Please tell that the Lokayukta had demanded the court to send all three to judicial custody. The Lokayukta said in the court that the inquiry was completed. If needed, all three will go to jail and inquire. Please tell that ED and IT officials are also present in the court premises.
Earlier on Tuesday morning, the Lokayukta team reached Hamidia Hospital for medical checkup on Saurabh, Chetan and Sharad. From here, all three were taken to court in two vehicles. Saurabh’s employees, relatives can be accused. Saurabh and Chetan were produced by the Lokayukta on January 28 and took on six days remand while on January 29, Sharad’s 5 -day remand was given. Further, other employees, relatives and close acquaintances of Saurabh can also be accused in the Lokayukta Memorandum.

Sending a letter to the registrars and asked for information about benami property
Please tell that recently the Lokayukta had sent a letter to the registrars of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur seeking information about benami property. Saurabh’s house also received 50 property documents and several power of attorney, which are named after others. In this case, Hawala’s angle is also being investigated rapidly, fearing hawala activities in Dubai and other countries.
On December 18, Lokayukta’s raid, IT recovered gold and cash
Significantly, on December 18, the Lokayukta took a raid action in the house of Saurabh Sharma in the capital Bhopal. At the same time, on December 19, some people of Mendori village had informed the police about an unclaimed Crysta car parked on the vacant plot, in which 6 to 7 bags were kept.
Investigation started after getting 52 kg of gold and 10 crore cash
Due to the possibility of cash, the Income Tax Department was informed, after which the IT team broke the glass and came out from inside. In which 52 kg of gold and Rs 10 crore cash was recovered. After which ED and IT also became active after Lokayukta.
ED raided several locations on 27 December
On December 27, investigating agencies took raids of Saurabh Sharma’s relatives and colleagues at Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur residences. During this period, important documents were recovered during searching at different locations.
FD of over 6 crores recovered
FD of more than Rs 6 crore was found in the name of Saurabh’s associate Chetan Singh Gaur. A bank balance of over Rs 4 crore was also received in the name of family members and companies. Documents related to immovable property worth more than Rs 23 crore were found and they were confiscated.
