The 100th anniversary of electric rail service in India is being celebrated today on 3 February. On this occasion, electric Goods train was run on Bhanupratappur-Antargarh railway section today. With this, the entire South East Central Railway (SECR) zone has been electrified.
AdRM Bajrang Aggarwal of Raipur Division flagged off the power train to Antagarh at Bhanupratappur. During this time, in the discussion with Lalluram.com, AdRM Bajrang Aggarwal said that today 100 years of electrification of Indian Railways have been completed. On this occasion, South Eastern Central Railway is organizing various events.
He said that with the commencement of electrical rail service between Bhanupratappur to Antagarh today, we can say with pride that the entire SECR zone has become electrical. Officials of Rail Development Corporation and Rail Electricity Service were also present during the program.
