Indore
All obstacles have been removed in the way of constructing the largest multi-model logistic park in Central India on about 255 acres in Dhar and Pithampur. Now fast development works are going on. The park being constructed at a cost of about 1100 crores is claimed to complete the operation by the end of the year 2026. Pithampur and surrounding industries will not have to bother to send their products with the commencement of logistic park. The transportation cast is also being claimed to reduce a 30 percent reduction. After this, logistic park will be built in Ratlam and Ujjain, for which the survey has started.
The creation of multi -modal logistics park at five places in the country was announced years ago, but Pithampur’s park was lagging behind other cities due to screws coming in land acquisition. The work of building parks in Bangalore, Chennai, Guwahati and Nagpur is going on. This park is being built together MPIDC and NHAI, while the construction agency has also been decided. This park is being built on about 255 acres of land in village Sagaur, Kheda, Jamodi and Akolia of Pithampur. It will cost about 1100 crores.
More than 2 thousand industries will get benefit
According to MP Shankar Lalwani, the park construction has started after land acquisition. There are about 2 thousand industries in Pithampur and surrounding areas. Many export. There was difficulty in transporting to the port. A park is being built here under the Bharat Mala scheme of the Central Government. From here, products will be transported to the destination by road, rail and air. There is a nearby Tih station, from where the railway line will be laid to the park, it will be easy to send goods from air cargo.
Preparation to bring up to Rs 8-10 km
According to experts, now industries have to spend the most on transportation. Internationally, an average cost of Rs 7 per km comes on transport, but here it is falling around Rs 14 per kilometer, which is upset with the industries. Officials claim that this expenditure will be 8 to 10 rupees per kilometer or less by the formation of Multi Modal Logistics Park and the industries will benefit well.
Close to Tih, air cargo will get benefits
According to Rajesh Rathore, Executive Director of MPIDC, the company is working as a Basic development. There will be a system of loading, unloading from modern machines. Custom, container depot etc. will be facilitated, so that exports of products will be easily done. The operation will be started by completing the first phase by the end of 2026. Right now the industries have to send their goods from Mumbai etc. Port for export, but now it will be directly from Pithampur and they will get great facilities.
