Ramita Jindal of Haryana has created history in the ongoing 38th National Games in Uttarakhand. At the 10m Air Rifle qualification event, Ramita set a new record by scoring 634.9. His score is even better than the 634.5 score made by Korea’s Ban Hyozin at the Paris 2024 Olympics. With this performance, Ramita not only secured first place in qualification, but also set a new record of Olympic level.
Many shooters performed brilliantly in the matches held at Trishul Shooting Arena held at Maharana Pratap Sports College, Raipur, Dehradun. Apart from Ramita, these players made it to the finals in the women’s 10m air rifle qualification event
Vijayveer Singh Sidhu of Punjab also did wonders in the men’s rapid fire pistol competition. He finished first with 587 scores, which is even better than 583 scores he made at the Paris Olympics. The National Games volleyball matches started from Wednesday at Manoj Sarkar Sports Stadium in Drapur. In the opening match, Kerala defeated West Bengal in a one -sided match. Rajasthan defeated Himachal Pradesh in the second match.
