Washington
Former US President Donald Trump made serious allegations against India, China and Brazil, calling him a “big tariff maker”. Trump described these four countries as “big players who impose tariffs” and alleged that these countries are causing financial loss to America. He said, “We will not bear any more loss and keep America first.” Trump made it clear that his administration would impose high fees on these countries, so that American industry and workers would benefit. He said that I am surprised to have a good friendship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi but America is the most unhappy. Trump also said that “These four countries are trying to harm America, but now it will not happen.” We will keep America first and increase the tariff on these countries. ”
Speaking at a program of House Republics in Florida, Trump said that the priority of countries like India, China and Brazil is their own country’s interests, but America will not tolerate it anymore. He said, “These countries are trying to do good for themselves, but are harmful for us. Now we will impose tariffs on them so that America benefits. ” The statement came at a time when it is reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Donald Trump may meet in Washington next month. The two leaders also interacted on the phone on Monday night, in which the opinion of India’s illegal migrants was revealed, although the issue of tariffs raised or not is not clear.
Talking about his ‘America First’ model, Trump said that foreign companies would have to produce in the US, otherwise they will have to face heavy tariffs. He said, “If you want to avoid tariffs, then plant your plant in America.” He insisted on increasing production in the US and said that now we have to make the steel, aluminum and other materials required for our soldiers themselves. Giving examples, he said, “Sometimes we used to make a ship every day, but now our production capacity has reduced. We have to improve it. “
Taking a scathing attack on China, Trump said that China has done huge injustice in trade with the US. He also warned BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) that if they talk about stopping the dollar, they would be imposed 100% tariff. Trump’s statement clearly shows his economic agenda. He wants to use tariffs to increase manufacturing in the US and bring back jobs. He said, “As soon as we impose tariffs on other countries, reduce tax on American citizens and companies. This will make jobs and factories back to America again. ”
