Trump asked Musk to bring Sunita Williams back; SpaceX chief reprimanded Biden

Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore have been stranded on ISS for the last eight months. President Trump sought help from Elon Musk for his return. Musk accused the Biden administration to fail in action. Both astronauts will return to Earth in February 2025.

Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmach have been stranded at the International Space Station for the last eight months. This is a shocking phenomenon in the history of space travel. US President Donald Trump has sought help from Tesla CEO Elone Musk to return these astronauts safely to Earth.

On this issue, Musk has reprimanded the Biden administration, making serious allegations against the former President. He said that the administration failed to take action in this matter.

Sunita Williams and Buch Willmore delay in return

  • Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore visited ISS from Boeing’s Starlineer spacecraft in June 2024. After reaching the ISS, there were technical problems in the spacecraft, which has delayed their return.
  • NASA and Boeing worked for months to eliminate these problems. If there was no result, it was decided that it would be very difficult to bring Starlineer to Earth with the crew.

Trump asks for help from Elon Musk

  • President Trump has now sought help from SpaceX to resolve the issue. Musk said in a post on Twitter (now X) that the President has asked Space X to bring 2 astronauts trapped at the special station as soon as possible. We will do this.
  • Musk alleged that the Biden administration allowed astronauts to be stuck on the ISS for so long, while NASA included SpaceX months ago to bring them back.

Mission included SpaceX in September 2024

In September 2024, NASA announced that SpaceX would be included on the crew-9 mission for the return of Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore. At the end of this mission, both astronauts will return to Earth in February 2025.
