The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the list of candidates for the post of Mayor of all municipal corporations for the urban body elections of Chhattisgarh. The party has taken a shocking decision by giving Jeevardhan Chauhan a ticket for the post of Mayor from Raigad. Jeevardhan Chauhan’s name was neither in the race for the candidates nor his name was being discussed. The BJP has shocked by giving ticket to former MP Madhusudan Yadav from Rajnandgaon seat. Madhusudan has also been the mayor. Most of the youth and grassroots workers have been given priority in the BJP list.

Party leaders say that the tea seller makes sense of the common man’s problems and this is the biggest basis for getting a ticket to Jeevardhan. BJP leaders have expressed hope that the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi took over the reins of the country, Jeevardhan will take the development of Raigad to new heights. This decision of the BJP has intensified the discussion in the political corridors.
