A large number of devotees are arriving at the grand Mahakumbh held from 13 January in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. By bus, train and air, devotees are coming to bathe in the holy confluence. Meanwhile, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) spokesman Vinod Bansal claimed that the airlines have increased the general category fares from 200 percent to 700 percent.
The VHP spokesperson tagged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the social media platform X and wrote that the state government is taking full care of the service, security and facilities of the devotees coming to the Mahakumbh on the holy land of Prayagraj, many religious, social And service organizations and people are also engaged in service selflessly. However, some aviation companies are charging an increase in air fares by increasing the air fare by taking undue advantage of the increasing number of passengers. Which is completely inappropriate and immoral. This opportunity is for hospitality, dedication and reverence and not of unfair fare recovery.
He further said, “While Indian Railways has expanded its services for the passengers coming to pilgrimage and returning from there, it has also limited its fares. However, the airlines have also increased their general category fares from 200 percent to 700 percent, due to which the devotees coming to Kumbh are facing serious inconvenience. Because the rail tickets are not available and due to financial constraints, they are unable to get wild air tickets. In such a situation, aviation companies should pay special attention to the expansion of services and the convenience of passengers by limiting their rent. ”
Keeping his point, he appealed to the government to take strict steps against such companies. Said, “There is still only one month left in Kumbh, which is not a time to earn unfair money, but to earn guest service profit, which these companies will be able to get throughout their lives. There should be not to increase competition fare between them, but to reduce air fares and expansion of services. If the aviation companies do not take the ticket in the ticket amount of passengers going to Kumbh and returning from there, then the Ministry of Civil Aviation and other related departments need to take quick steps in this regard. We hope that all the departments and companies concerned will seriously consider it and stop this unfair and immoral work of recovery of rent without delay. ”
