Governor Ramen Deka has appealed to the voters on the occasion of National Voters’ Day to be conscious of their duties and responsibilities towards democracy and use your valuable opinion to strengthen democracy and to fulfill their participation in the development of the country.
He said that it is necessary for a successful democracy that every young Indian citizen should register themselves as voters and also exercise their franchise in elections from time to time. Shri Deka said that today is dedicated to the awareness of voters. Our country is the largest democratic country in the world. In order to make democracy strong and safe, we should vote fairly, independent and free without being influenced by religion, class, caste community, language or any other temptation.
