Health infrastructure work should be completed within the time limit as per future requirements: Deputy Chief Minister Shukla

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla has said that expansion of health infrastructure and provision of high level health services in the state is the top priority of the government. He said that it is necessary to complete the health infrastructure work within the time limit as per the future requirements. He also directed to complete all the departmental ongoing projects within the stipulated time and also ensure the arrangement of furniture, equipment and manpower. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla conducted a comprehensive review of the construction works of the Public Health and Medical Education Department in the Ministry, Bhopal.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that health infrastructure works are directly related to the general public, they should be completed on top priority. He also directed to update the progress on MIS portal to ensure real time monitoring of all works.

8 new medical colleges will be ready
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that at present the construction work of 8 medical colleges is in progress in the state. To complete these works in the next 2 years, make a plan and do regular monitoring. Bring any kind of problem to your notice immediately so that it can be resolved quickly. The progress of work should not be affected by administrative apathy. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that the construction and upgradation work of allied hospitals related to medical colleges should be completed on priority, so that the operation of medical colleges can start soon after getting approval from NMC (National Medical Council).

Medical College Ujjain should start before Simhastha-2028
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla gave instructions to complete the construction work on time so that Ujjain Medical College becomes operational before Simhastha 2028. This work is being done by MP BDC. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla thoroughly reviewed the progress of the works of Medical College Rajgarh, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Mandla, Singrauli, Sheopur and Budhni as well as Multi Specialty Hospital Chhindwara. Of these, 2 works are being done by Bridge & Roof, 3 by BDC and 3 by PIU. The Deputy Chief Minister directed to complete all these projects within the time limit and said that regular monitoring of the construction works should be ensured.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla also reviewed the progress of 32 residential buildings being built for medical staff under the re-densification scheme in Rewa Medical Campus and directed to complete it soon. While reviewing the construction works of Maihar District Hospital and 200 bed Cancer Unit in Rewa, he asked to ensure timely progress.

While doing a detailed review of the regional health infrastructure works by the Public Health and Medical Department and other agencies, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that the work being done by the Health Department itself should be completed on priority. It is noteworthy that 3558 works worth Rs 7928 crore are being done by various construction agencies in the Public Health and Medical Department. Out of which 403 works have been completed and 1701 works are in progress. Out of these, 2778 works worth Rs 2426 crore are being carried out by the Health Department. Of these, 283 works have been completed, and 1165 works are in progress.

73 works worth Rs 2475 crore are being carried out by Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation, out of which 62 works are in progress and tender has been issued for 8 works. 364 works worth Rs 1799 crore have been sanctioned by PIU (Public Works Department), out of which 53 works are completed and 273 works are in progress. 257 works worth Rs 462 crore are being carried out by the Housing Board, out of which 49 works are completed and 169 works are in progress. 68 works worth Rs 733 crore are being carried out by Police Housing, out of which 18 works are completed and 35 works are in progress. MLA Maihar Shri Shrikant Chaturvedi, Principal Secretary Public Health and Medical Education Shri Sandeep Yadav, Commissioner Health Shri Tarun Rathi, MD MP BDC Dr. Pankaj Jain, CEO Ayushman and Director (Project) Dr. Yogesh Bharsat and senior officials of agencies were present in the meeting. are.
