Cyber crime has become the latest and dangerous crime of today’s era. At present modern technology is being misused. The only way to avoid cyber crime is awareness and vigilance. Women and Child Development Minister Ms. Nirmala Bhuria was addressing the inauguration of the one-day workshop of the 9th National Cyber Psychology Conference at Samanvay Bhawan, Bhopal on Wednesday. Minister Ms. Bhuria said that M.P. The main objective of the workshop organized under the joint aegis of State Women’s Commission and Responsible Netism Organization Mumbai is to promote awareness about cyber wellness and safe digital scenario among the youth. He said that this workshop is an innovative effort to protect the society from cyber crimes. With the increasing use of mobile phones, people’s work has become easier. But somewhere this has also raised questions about their safety. The most soft targets of cyber crime are the elderly, women and children.
Minister Ms. Bhuria said that the aim of the Women and Child Development Department is to make children, youth and women cyber safe. This will not only promote cyber wellness but will also develop the ability of the youth to prevent online crises. He said that with the aim of curbing the increasing cyber crimes against girls and women, India’s “first cyber wellness cell” has been launched in Vikram University campus of Ujjain. Minister Ms. Bhuria urged the college and school students present in large numbers in the program to play an active role in the safety of the children of the state. He said that through this conference the youth will be educated on digital literacy, online safety, responsible social media use to prevent cyber threats like cyber bullying and online sexual crimes.
There is no better solution than caution to prevent cyber crime.
Mumbai-based ethical hacker and cyber security expert Mr. Rizwan Shaikh said that the simplest solution to avoid the trap of cyber crime is to be careful. He said that currently more crimes like deepfakes are being committed through AI. The virtual world is not limited to just hacking. It’s much deeper than that. Shri Rizwan said that whenever someone gets caught in a situation like digital arrest, or demands money through OTP or deep fake voice, then never transfer money immediately due to fear of cyber criminals. At such times, describe yourself as poor and helpless.
Giving information, Ms. Sonali Patankar, Founder CAO of Responsible Netism, said that the Foundation has successfully educated more than five thousand young girls from 22 colleges in 11 districts of Madhya Pradesh. It was started last year in the name of ‘Cyber Sakhi’. Madhya Pradesh CM Helpline employees were successfully trained by the Foundation.
