Gautam Gambhir visited Mother Goddess before the first T20 in Kolkata

New Delhi
The performance of the Indian team in the last few months has not been anything special. Amidst this poor performance, Team India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir has gone to Kalighat temple in Kolkata to pay obeisance. Gambhir has come to visit at a time when the India vs England five-match T20 series is to start from January 22. Talking about Kalighat temple, it is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of India. According to beliefs, the toes of Mata Sati’s right foot had fallen here. It is one of the most sacred places of worship in Eastern India, where millions of people come to visit every year.

After Gautam Gambhir became the head coach, the Indian team has had to face many embarrassing defeats. First, there was a defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka in the ODI series, then Team India was defeated in the home Test series against New Zealand. At the same time, India had to lose the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after 10 years. Now Team India will have the challenge of performing well in the Champions Trophy 2025 apart from the T20 and ODI series against England.

Batting coach Sitanshu Kotak also remained with him.
Sitanshu also reached Kotak with Gautam Gambhir to visit Kalighat temple. Sitanshu Kotak has recently been appointed the batting coach of the Indian team. It cannot be denied that Gautam Gambhir will be under immense pressure after consecutive series losses. Along with Gambhir, the whole of India must be wishing that Team India becomes champions.

Do well in Trophy 2025.
Before the Champions Trophy, India has to play a T20 series against England, the first match of which will be played on January 22 at the Eden Gardens ground in Kolkata. A total of five matches will be played in the T20 series, while a series of three ODI matches will start between the two countries from February 6.
