A new controversy has started once again regarding ICC Champions Trophy 2025. After a long debate regarding hosting, now the Pakistan Cricket Board has made a new allegation against the Indian team. The Indian cricket team will play all its ICC Champions Trophy matches in Dubai. Along with this, Pakistan will not be printed on Team India’s jersey. PBC is now expressing displeasure regarding this. Earlier, PCB was adamant on not holding the tournament on the hybrid model, but later it agreed to move all the matches of the Indian team out of Pakistan.
Speaking to IANS, a PCB official has accused BCCI of bringing politics into the middle of cricket. Along with this, BCCI will not print Pakistan on the jersey of the Indian team. PCB’s displeasure is not only over the name on the jersey but BCCI has refused to send Rohit Sharma to Pakistan for the captain’s meet before the start of the tournament. For this reason also, PCB officials are expressing their displeasure with BCCI.
PCB ready to take refuge in ICC
A PCB official said, BCCI is bringing politics into cricket which is not good for the game. BCCI refused to send its team to Pakistan. They will not even give their captain to Pakistan for the opening ceremony and now the reports are coming out that Pakistan will not be printed on the jersey. We hope that ICC, the supreme body of ICC, will not allow this to happen and will support Pakistan.
Let us tell you that the name of the country which hosts the ICC event is printed on the jersey of the team participating in the tournament. For this reason, Pakistan Cricket Board wants the name of the host nation on the jersey of the Indian team, due to which a new controversy has started.
