TRAI New Rules: Validity of SIM will increase without recharge, know the new rules of Jio, Airtel and BSNL

TRAI New Rules: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued new rules related to the validity of mobile SIM cards. Under these rules, customers of Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL can keep their SIM active for a long time even without recharging. BSNL has provided the most facilities to its customers compared to other companies.

What are the new rules of TRAI?

TRAI has recently issued a new guideline, in which the validity period of SIM cards has been extended. Now mobile customers can keep their SIM active even without recharging. This rule applies to all major networks Jio, Airtel, Vi and BSNL.

validity of jio

Reliance Jio customers have been given the facility to keep their SIM active for 90 days without any recharge. If there is no activity on the SIM for 90 days, it will be deactivated. After this, the customer has to purchase the reactivation plan.

Airtel validity

Airtel customers also get the facility to keep the SIM active for 90 days. If recharge is not done even after this period, the company gives a grace period of 15 days. After this the SIM will be deactivated.

Validity of Vi (Vodafone-Idea)

Vi’s rules are similar to Jio and Airtel. The SIM will remain active for 90 days, and after that a grace period of 15 days will be given.

BSNL’s longest validity

Government company BSNL allows its customers to keep the SIM active for a maximum of 180 days. This feature makes it better than other private networks. Now you can take advantage of these rules to maintain the validity of your SIM for a longer period without recharging.
