BCCI’s strict rules implemented, all players reached the stadium together

Kolkata
The implementation of the ’10-point guidelines’ for the Indian cricket team has begun with the BCCI informing the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). In this, no separate vehicle was arranged for any player to go to the stadium for practice. All the players and support members of the team traveled from the hotel to the stadium in the same bus. The Indian team is in Kolkata for the opening match of the T20 series against England at the Eden Gardens on January 22.

Rule had to be introduced due to defeat

After the embarrassing defeat in the Test series against New Zealand at home and on Australia tour, BCCI has issued 10-point guidelines. According to this guideline, ‘All players will have to stay for the entire duration of the scheduled practice session and travel together to the venue. This rule ensures the commitment of the players and promotes a strong work ethic within the team.
Captain Rohit has expressed his objection

India’s ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma has already expressed his objection to some provisions of this guideline. However, it is understood that BCCI has already implemented at least one of these 10 guidelines. The new guidelines were shared with all state cricket boards hosting India-England matches, including CAB. CAB President Snehasish Ganguly confirmed the new arrangement and expressed the association’s commitment to follow the policies.

For the first time after the implementation of the new rules, the Indian team reached Eden Gardens in the team bus. Head coach Gautam Gambhir was the first to alight from the bus, followed by his support staff and players, including captain Suryakumar Yadav and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

The first match of the 5-match T20 series between India and England will be played in Kolkata. After this, both the teams will face each other on January 25 in Chennai. The last three T20 matches will be held in Rajkot, Pune and Mumbai. After this, the three-match ODI series between India and England will start from February 6 in Nagpur.
