As soon as Mahakumbh starts, long waiting times have started in trains going from Indore to Prayagraj. On some special days there is no space to even step in these trains. For the biggest religious event, Ratlam division has started only one special train from Indore.

This train is operating only two days a week. Four trains are being operated from Indore to Prayagraj. There are three regular trains and one special train. There is long waiting time in all trains. Among these trains, Mhow-Prayagraj is the only train, which is operating daily.

Waiting time in Mahakal Express reached 147

In this train too, the waiting on different days ranges from 70 to 100 in sleeper coach and the waiting in third AC is more than 50. Every Monday, the waiting time in the sleeper coach of Mahakal Express going from Indore to Kashi via Prayagraj has increased from 50 to 147. The waiting in third AC is beyond 50. Similarly, there is a long waiting period in the Shipra Express that runs from Indore to Howrah via Prayagraj every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Flights full, people are booking in buses

There is huge enthusiasm among the people of Indore and Malwa regarding Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Flights are full, there is a long waiting period in trains, so people are booking in buses. At the same time, 70% seats have been booked in the direct flight from Indore to Prayagraj once a week in January and February.

For the convenience of the devotees, Alliance Air has started direct air service from Indore. Due to it being the only flight to Prayagraj and reaching in just two hours, a large number of passengers are booking it.

Many travel operators have started buses from Indore to Prayagraj. President of Prime Route Bus Honors Association, Govind Sharma, says that due to Kumbh, the number of passengers has increased. Many operators have increased the number of buses there.

Booking to save time

State President of Travel Agent Association of India, Hemendra Singh Jadaun, says that lakhs of devotees from across the country and abroad are coming to Prayagraj Mahakumbh. A large number of people are also going from Indore. The only direct flight facility from Indore is available once a week. Since it is a 70 seater aircraft, the seats are getting filled quickly, hence the fare has increased.
