There was fog in many parts of the state including the capital Bhopal on Saturday. The cold further increased due to morning fog in many areas of Narmadapuram, Ashoknagar and Tikamgarh. Sendhwa has the densest fog for the second time in the season, visibility here can be seen around 10 m. Visibility in Ashoknagar is around 50 meters. People are passing through the market with headlights of their vehicles on. North wind is coming in the state. Due to this the chill has increased and the temperature has dropped. According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of severe cold will increase further because the speed of icy wind will increase. There will be fog in the state for the next 3 days.
Earlier on Friday, there was a cold-day like situation in 18 cities of the state including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior-Jabalpur. The day temperature here remained less than 23 degrees Celsius. On Friday, the jet stream wind continued to blow at a speed of 287 km per hour. Wind and western disturbance have increased the effect of cold. According to the Meteorological Department, the period of severe cold will continue throughout the month of January. On January 19, there will be fog in Gwalior, Sheopur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Sagar, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Rewa, Maihar, Mauganj, Sidhi and Singrauli. On January 20, there will be fog in Gwalior, Morena, Sheopur, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur and Sagar.
Cold will increase further in the state
