The life of former RTO constable Saurabh Sharma, who is involved in a major corruption case related to the RTO department, is being said to be in danger. Suryakant Bhujade, lawyer of Saurabh Sharma’s associate Sharad Jaiswal, said that the government should provide security to Saurabh Sharma and other accused.
Advocate Suryakant Bhujade said that his client is Sharad Jaiswal. His anticipatory bail petition was filed in the court, which was rejected. Surya Kant said that he has not talked to Saurabh Sharma yet. This is a very big case and be it Saurabh, Sharad or other accused, all of them are very small people.
The lawyer said that the investigating agencies have created such an environment as if he is the biggest mastermind. Suryakant said that all this has been done by the big people, which has been imposed on these small people. Therefore their lives are in danger. I request the government to provide them security.
Sharad’s lawyer said that the investigation should reveal who the main accused are. It should be revealed who the bureaucrats or political people are. When we had applied for the bail of Sharad Jaiswal, we had told the court that these people are ready to cooperate in the investigation, hence they should be provided security and given bail, but bail was not granted.
What is the threat to Saurabh’s life?
Saurabh Sharma’s family members have said through their lawyer Suryakant Bujhade that their client Saurabh Sharma wants to cooperate in the investigation. But, he has placed a condition that he will cooperate in the investigation only when he feels safe. He says that it is very important for the case to be exposed.
Saurabh Sharma is a small fish
It is being told that this is a very big case whereas other accused including Saurabh Sharma are small fish. For this reason a case has been imposed on his head. It is alleged that this is a scandal perpetrated by high profile people. But the blame has been put on these small people. Saurabh’s lawyer said that I also demand through the media from the Mohan government of the state to provide him security.
According to Saurabh’s lawyer Suryakant, if the government guarantees the safety of his life, then Saurabh is ready to come forward. Once Saurabh is allowed to come forward with the guarantee of security, he is ready to make a big revelation. Along with this, there are also reports that Saurabh may soon return to India from Dubai. Also he can surrender before Lokayukta.
Sharad’s lawyer said that Saurabh has been a constable for only 7 years, whereas it is impossible to make the huge wealth that the agencies have got in 7 years. This is a big syndicate, which includes old bureaucrats and leaders, it should be investigated. Let us tell you that before this, Saurabh’s lawyer Rakesh Parashar had also filed an anticipatory bail petition in Bhopal District Court, which was rejected. Advocate at that time Rakesh Parashar had also expressed fear of Saurabh’s encounter. However, even at that time the bail application was rejected.
Property worth crores of rupees was found
In the raid of Lokayukta police, property worth crores was found with former constable Saurabh Sharma. In this, 52 kg gold and 234 kg silver were also found from a car parked in Bhopal. Lokayukta’s Special Police Establishment (SPE) had recovered properties from several premises linked to former constable Saurabh Sharma. The top official of the anti-corruption Lokayukta police had said that the Lokayukta police had searched the residence and office of Saurabh Sharma on 18 and 19 December 2024.
Lokayukta Director General of Police Jaideep Prasad had told that Saurabh Sharma’s father RK Sharma was a government doctor and he died in the year 2015. After this, Saurabh Sharma got appointment to the post of constable in the State Transport Department on compassionate grounds in 2015 and he took voluntary retirement in 2023. Saurabh Sharma acquired wealth through corrupt means, including setting up schools and hotels in the name of his mother, wife, relatives and close associates Chetan Singh Gaur and Sharad Jaiswal.
ED registered a case against Saurabh Sharma
Let us tell you that on the basis of the FIR lodged with the Lokayukta Police in the disproportionate assets case, ED had registered a case against Saurabh Sharma. Even before this, ED has raided eight places of Saurabh Sharma’s close relatives.
Arora started practicing law after retirement
A three-member ED team reached the house of KK Arora, resident of CP Colony in Murar, under the tight security of CRPF jawans and Murar police station forces. There was a knock on the door at seven in the morning, then CRPF jawans and Murar police station forces surrounded Arora’s house from all sides. The search operation continued throughout the day.
KK Arora started practicing law after retiring from the post of Sub Registrar in the Registration Department. Vinay Haswani, resident of Kalpana Nagar, Murar, is also a lawyer, who is the husband of Saurabh Sharma’s aunt’s daughter. An Innova car filled with 52 kg of gold and rupees was found at Vinay’s farm house in Mendori. Later investigation revealed that it was Vinay who took the vehicle to the farm house in Mendori.
Vinay is the son-in-law of retired DSP Munish Rajouria, resident of Gwalior. Vinay also practiced law. On the other hand, after retirement, KK Arora was also practicing law. It has been learned that both of them are also business partners.
