Three metro stations are ready in Indore, preparations for commercial run of metro after safety audit

Metro work in a six kilometer stretch in Indore is almost complete. The work of three metro stations coming in between has also been completed. Ticket windows, lifts and escalators have also been installed there.

Soon the commercial run will start from Gandhi Nagar metro station to TCS intersection. One and a half years ago, a trial run was conducted in this part in the presence of the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Now the team of Commissioner of Railway Safety will reach Indore on January 21 for the commercial run of metro train for six kilometers. NOC will be issued within a week after the team conducts the safety audit. After this, commercial run of metro train can be started in Indore. The part where metro train will operate. There is neither population nor sufficient passenger numbers. For this reason there will be no benefit after the operation.

State Principal Secretary Urban Administration Sanjay Shukla reviewed the metro project. He has instructed the officers to start the work from MR-9 intersection onwards.

Trial run was to be done in 17 kilometer stretch

Metro work in Indore is to be done in 31 km stretch. At present the work from Gandhi Nagar to Radisson Square has been completed. This year, the trial run was to be done in 17 kilometer length, but the metro station from Chandragupta Maurya Pratima Square to Vijay Nagar Square has not been ready. Underground metro work is also to be done from Nath Temple to Bada Ganpati, but that too has not been started yet. A tunnel of 50 meters length will also be built in Kanh river. Through which the metro train will go towards Sadar Bazaar.

Metro coach washing plant also ready at Gandhi Nagar depot

There are preparations to start commercial operations soon on the 6 kilometer priority corridor, due to which permission has been given for the construction work of the stations, while a washing plant has also been installed in Gandhi Nagar for washing the coaches, in which the trains will be washed automatically. Cleaning will be done at night, so that the metro train looks sparkling. The entire campus will also be kept clean. Currently, the ongoing construction works are being continuously monitored by the Managing Director.

An elevated corridor of 17 kilometers is currently being prepared from Gandhi Nagar to Super Corridor, from MR-10 Vijay Nagar intersection to Radisson and Robot intersection, out of which commercial operations will be started first on the priority corridor of 6 kilometers, the preparation for which will be done with emphasis – Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation is making noise. Its Managing Director S. Krishna Chaitanya is continuously completing the ongoing construction work and especially the remaining work of the Priority Corridor.

The process of checking all kinds of test documents related to passenger run is also going on and recently the progress report of Rolling Stock Washing Plant was also taken by them. In fact, a huge metro depot has been prepared in Gandhi Nagar itself, where all the trains will be parked and all the operations related to the metro from the administrative building will take place here. A modern washing plant has been installed at Gandhi Nagar depot itself.

In fact, the metro coaches which will ferry the passengers throughout the day will stand at the Gandhi Nagar depot at night, where the entire train including all the coaches will be washed through the automatic washing plant. Anyway, littering will not be allowed inside the metro train and it will also be monitored through cameras installed in the train. The control room built here is also almost ready. The work of beautification including cleaning, inspection is also being completed soon. Commercial operations are yet to be started on the 6 kilometer priority corridor, which will be from Gandhi Nagar station to TCS-3. It is also noteworthy that these Metro coaches are continuously coming to Indore from the plant located in Vadodara and the help of Artificial Intelligence is also being taken in the entire operation of the Metro.
