According to Ukrainian officials, the Russian attack involved Kh-101 missiles launched from Tu-95MS bombers. Apart from this, the Russian army is firing Kalibr missiles, which are entering Ukraine through Kherson Oblast from the Black Sea. The Eurasian Times report said that in addition to these missile attacks, Russia has deployed Kinzhal missiles, ballistic weapons and 74 drones at various locations. This has increased the problems of Poland.
Poland’s Defense Ministry said in a statement on social media that several Russian military aircraft were hovering over our airspace during targeted attacks on several targets in western Ukraine. This situation has increased Poland’s concern and Poland has been forced to prepare for war. A day earlier, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk accused Russia of plotting to cause disturbances around the world, including “acts of air terrorism” against the airline.
Tusk made the comments at a press conference in Warsaw with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “I won’t go into details, I can only confirm the suspicion that Russia is plotting an act of air terrorism not only against Poland, but against airlines around the world,” Tusk said. Russia has rejected previous Western claims that Russia sponsored disturbances and attacks in Europe.
Meanwhile, the Polish Operational Command has mobilized all its combat resources and not only put them on alert mode but also deployed fighter jets. Apart from this, surface-to-air anti-missile systems have also been asked to be ready. The radar system has also been put on high alert to prevent attack by the enemy country. Poland’s Defense Ministry said such precautionary measures were implemented to secure at-risk border areas. “The operational command of the armed forces is monitoring the prevailing situation and its subordinate forces and resources are fully prepared for immediate response,” the statement said.
