Central Region Electricity Distribution Company had started working with e-office system five years ago in the entire company area from corporate to field offices. Now five years of success of e-office system have been completed. With the e-office system, customers’ work is being completed quickly and time is being saved in office work. Central Region Electricity Distribution Company has implemented more than two dozen such IT applications which are an example in the power sector of the country. All categories of consumers, from high pressure to low pressure, agricultural consumers, non-domestic consumers and other categories, are getting benefits from the e-applications created by the company.
Keeping the consumers in mind, the company has launched a simple connection portal for online bill payment, electricity connection, complaint and resolution, (POS) machine, instant billing system, quality control portal, UPAY app, maintenance app, self meter reading, QR code. Informer Scheme and Enterprises for the facility of payment, name change, load increase application, chatbot facility, e-KYC, online confidential information of electricity theft. Many applications like resources planning have been implemented. The consumer and the company are continuously getting benefits from this.
Managing Director of Central Area Electricity Distribution Company, Kshitij Singhal said that as per the instructions of the state government, the functioning of the office of Central Area Electricity Distribution Company has been completely shifted from traditional file works to e-office system. The e-office system is working successfully with the help of the IT department of the company and the National Informatics Centre. The work is being done through e-office by all the sections of the corporate office including regional, circle, divisional offices etc.
