On Chhattisgarh getting additional allocation of Rs 1874 crore from the Centre, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the state of Chhattisgarh has not only created a distinct identity for itself in the state with its public-friendly policies and programmes, but the funds received from the state budget and the central government are also in public interest. By ensuring proper utilization, she has also become entitled to appreciation and incentive amount from the Central Government.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai says that it is the priority of the government to provide better facilities to the people of the state and take development to new heights. Chhattisgarh has made efficient and effective use of funds allocated under capital expenditure for infrastructure development, which has been appreciated by the Central Government. As a result of better utilization of funds under capital expenditure, the state of Chhattisgarh will soon get an additional allocation of Rs 1874 crore. This amount will be spent for the infrastructure and other important projects of the state. Capital expenditure means the provision of capital expenditure which is made for the creation of infrastructure, creation of new assets and long-term development in a state or country. It is included in the budget so that government funds can be used for the creation and development of infrastructure such as roads, transportation, health, education, and industry. The Government of Chhattisgarh aims to strengthen the infrastructure and accelerate the overall development of the state. A provision of Rs 17 thousand crore has been made in capital expenditure (state capex) for the financial year 2024-25. This amount is being spent on roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, industrial projects and irrigation schemes. The state getting additional allocation of Rs 1874 crore from the Center will help in implementing new projects, generating employment and further strengthening the infrastructure of the state.
