Awareness campaign being run by Umaria Police under ‘National Road Safety Month’
Enforcement action is being taken against drivers who do not follow traffic rules.

Chalan action is being taken on various issues like excessive riding, driving without helmet, illegal hooter, driving without seat belt, non-standard/modified silencer etc.

People are being made aware to follow traffic rules by putting up posters/banners in public places.

Umaria

National Road Safety Month is being organized at the state level from 01 January 2025 to 31 January 2025 with the aim of improving public safety and reducing traffic accidents. In this episode, Superintendent of Police Umaria, Mrs. Nivedita Naidu and Att. Under the direction/guidance of Superintendent of Police Umaria, Umaria Traffic Police is running a traffic awareness campaign in the district to create awareness among the general public to follow the traffic rules and also strict challan actions are being taken against the drivers who violate the rules. Are .
Traffic awareness banners have been put up at public places in the city by the traffic police station in-charge and his police station team so that the common people become aware of following the traffic rules and drive while keeping in mind the safety of their own and others’ lives.

Along with this, by setting up checking points at various places, two-wheeler drivers are asked to wear helmets, not to ride in triples, not to drive under the influence of alcohol, not to drive without a driving license or insurance and four-wheeler drivers are asked to drive at the prescribed speed. Driving with seat belt, not driving after drinking alcohol, not driving without driving license and uninsured vehicle and installing radium reflector at the back of commercial vehicle, not carrying more than carrying capacity. Strict instructions are being given to follow all the traffic rules for not carrying/carrying passengers and also instructions are being given to follow the traffic rules in future in order to issue challan against the drivers for not following the rules.

Under the campaign, disciplinary action is being taken against the drivers and they have been instructed to remove the illegal hooters and non-standard silencers installed in the vehicles. Along with this, flowers were presented to the drivers following the rules and they were encouraged to follow the traffic rules continuously and this action was taken so that other people could get inspired by them. The awareness campaign by Umaria Traffic Police will continue till 31.01.25 and challan action will be taken against the drivers who do not follow the rules.
