Full state status of Jammu and Kashmir will be restored! Closeness between Modi and Abdullah

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the inauguration program of Sonmarg Tunnel in Jammu and Kashmir. Referring to the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, he said that you kept your point and elections were held within 4 months. You gave the people of Jammu a chance to choose their government. The credit for this goes to you, your team and the Election Commission. PM Modi also assured to fulfill the promises made to the people of Kashmir. Now it is being shown as restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he will fulfill his promises made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. This statement is being seen as an indirect indication towards Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s strong demand for restoration of statehood.
Modi said- right time for every work

Modi said after inaugurating the 6.4 km long tunnel between Srinagar and Sonamarg here, ‘This is Modi, if he promises, he keeps it. There is a time for every work and the right work is going to happen at the right time. While sharing the stage with Abdullah during the inauguration ceremony, Modi also addressed a large public meeting.

Omar Abdullah praised PM

Earlier speaking at the function, Abdullah stressed on restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir as promised by the Prime Minister before the assembly elections in September last year. He said, ‘My heart believes that you will soon fulfill this promise.’ He said, ‘You had also promised to hold assembly elections within four months and you lived up to your promise.’

PM Modi said- wants to make Kashmir prosperous

Without directly mentioning the state issue, Modi assured the attendees that all promises will be fulfilled and the right things will happen at the right time. The Prime Minister said that he wants to make Jammu and Kashmir beautiful and prosperous. He said, ‘There is an atmosphere of peace in Jammu and Kashmir and we have seen its impact on tourism also. Kashmir is writing a new story of development today.

Mention of statement regarding distance from Delhi

Omar Abdullah praised Modi a lot. Welcoming him, he referred to his speech given on International Yoga Day last year and said, ‘You made three very important points in your programme. You talked about ‘distance of the heart’ and ‘distance from Delhi’ and said that you are trying to eliminate both these things. Thanking the Prime Minister for keeping his promise, he said, ‘Such projects not only reduce the distance between hearts, but also reduce the distance from Delhi.’

The Chief Minister said that people often meet him and ask when the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir will be restored. He said, ‘My heart says that Prime Minister, you will very soon fulfill your third promise made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. And Jammu and Kashmir will once again get statehood.

Omar Abdullah and PM Modi met warmly

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a warm public meeting with Omar Abdullah. The Prime Minister assured the people of the Union Territory that he will stand shoulder to shoulder with them and remove all obstacles in realizing their dreams. Abdullah first addressed the gathering and the Prime Minister clapped warmly for him and shook hands with him, after which he returned to his seat beside Modi.
Omar Abdullah was mentioned again and again

Modi repeatedly mentioned Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during his nearly half-an-hour speech. He said he had become impatient after Abdullah shared the video and pictures of the Z-turn tunnel on his social media account on the eve of Abdullah’s inauguration.
