Now the temple committee has started a new process to save the Bhasma Aarti of Ujjain, which is considered the center of attraction for Shiva devotees, from the brokers. Under this process, permission for Bhasma Aarti, which used to take 3 days, will now be made in one day. Apart from this, the temple committee has taken many more steps to provide facilities to the devotees.

A big racket of brokerage regarding Bhasma Aarti and darshan in the famous Jyotirlinga Mahakaleshwar temple has been busted. A dozen people have been arrested so far, while some people are absconding. In the entire matter, till now Mahakal police station has registered a case against 14 people by name.

What did the ADM of Ujjain say?

These include Mahakaleshwar Temple Committee employees, security staff and other brokers. Administrator of Mahakaleshwar Temple Committee and ADM of Ujjain Anukul Jain said that the temple committee has taken a big step to stop brokerage in Bhasma Aarti.

Now the temple committee will give offline permission to 300 devotees through the process from 7:00 pm onwards. Mahakaleshwar Temple Committee has made new rules, under which forms will be given to the devotees from Nadi Gate at 7:00 pm, which will have to be submitted by 8:00 pm.

After this, permission will be issued immediately after getting their photo taken at another place in the temple complex. This process will be over by 11:00 pm. Till now, in Mahakaleshwar temple, devotees were allowed to perform Bhasma Aarti after completing the process for three days.

Five people will get permission on one application
In order to facilitate the devotees in the Bhasma Aarti to be held in Mahakaleshwar temple, the temple committee has made a provision from the beginning to give permission to five people on one application form. Ujjain Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh said that this process will continue in future also. Five people can get permission from one application.

In the Bhasma Aarti being held in Mahakaleshwar temple, 700 people, combined online and offline, are allowed. Apart from this, the quota of 700 other people has been fixed. These include different quotas for temple committee priests, protocols, political parties and public representatives. However, for that an additional fee of Rs 200 per devotee is also charged by the temple committee.
