Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the development caravan will continue in the state. Along with Patil, performed the bhoomi pujan of the Sewarkhedi-Silarkhedi project worth Rs 614.53 lakh in Ujjain. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state is fortunate that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the gift of the world’s first two big river linking projects. He said that keeping in view Simhastha 2028, development work will be done in 12 and a half thousand bigha area like Haridwar. Simhastha-2028 is going to be unforgettable for the sages and saints also, because this time the government has taken an unprecedented decision of giving land to the saints and Akharas for permanent construction. Union Jal Shakti Minister Patil congratulated and congratulated Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for the gifts Ujjain is receiving. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti festival, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gifted wedding decorations and sarees to the sisters and kites to the children.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in Simhastha-2028, after the Simhastha of the year-1967, the devotees will get the virtuous benefit of bathing in the holy water of Mother Kshipra, the giver of salvation. Due to shortage of water in Kshipra river, Gambhir water was brought in Simhastha of 1980. Similarly, in Simhastha of 1992 and 2004, Gambhir water was released into Kshipra. In the Simhastha of the year 2016, the water of Mother Narmada was brought to Kshipra. Some sages and saints used to say that when we had to take bath in Narmada only, we could have taken bath in Omkareshwar only. I understood their sentiments and resolved that in the Simhastha of the year 2028, everyone will be bathed in the water of Kshipra river. With the blessings of Baba Mahakal, this resolution is going to be fulfilled through Sewarkhedi-Silarkhedi and Kanh Close Duct projects. This will be an unforgettable day in the history of Ujjain.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that both Sewarkhedi-Silarkhedi and Kanh Close Duct are wonderful projects. Under the Sewarkhedi-Silarkhedi project, the water of Kshipra river will be collected in Silarkhedi reservoir during the rainy season and again flowed into Kshipra river as per requirement and will be made continuously flowing. In this project, a barrage of 1.45 million cubic meter capacity will be constructed in village Sevarkhedi and a 6.50 km long 3 meter diameter dam will be constructed from here. The water of Kshipra river will be stored in Silarkhedi reservoir through a long pipeline. For this, the capacity of Silarkhedi reservoir will be increased to 51 million cubic meters. The water stored in Silarkhedi reservoir will be released again into Kshipra river near village Kunwaria as per requirement through a 7.00 km long pipeline of 1.80 meter diameter.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the work of Kanh Close Duct Scheme is in progress. Under this, Kanh river will be diverted through a 30 kilometer long pipeline, the water will be cleaned en route and released into the down stream of Gambhir river outside the limits of Ujjain city. This project will be completed by September-2027. This pipeline will go 100 feet deep into the ground. There will be no damage to the fields and farming will continue as before.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Ujjain is the abode of Maa Kshipra, Baba Mahakal and all the gods and goddesses. Kshipra originates from the hills of village Ujjaini and revolves around Ujjain. Madhya Pradesh is the motherland of rivers, it has the largest number of rivers. Madhya Pradesh is a very holy land, here Lord Shri Ram lived in Chitrakoot for 11 years. He said that Lord Krishna studied in Ujjain and acquired knowledge of 24 arts. Adi Guru Shankaracharya received initiation on this land.

Union Jal Shakti Minister Patil asked to run a campaign to save water and build a large number of ground water recharge structures to store maximum rain water in the soil. Funds are also given to districts by the Government of India to build ground water recharge structures. He said that if there is water, there is tomorrow, village water should remain in the villages and field water should remain in the fields. Whatever measures are taken to save rain water should be taken.

Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat said in the welcome address that the Sewarkhedi-Silarkhedi project will ensure continuous flow of pure water into Mokshadayini Maa Kshipra. He gave detailed information about the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal River Project. This project will bring revolution in the field of irrigation. In the coming time, the target is to provide irrigation facility in 1 lakh hectare area in the state.
