The struggle and struggle for drinking water is now a thing of the past in Avarai, a Kamar dominated village situated in the forest region. Now in this village, under Jal Jeevan Mission, clean water is reaching every house through tap. Along with this, all the basic facilities are being expanded under PM Janman Yojana, which is bringing changes in the lives of the special backward tribe people here.
Mrs. Kavita Chauhan of village Avarai of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district tells that her life was full of many struggles. Every morning before sunrise, she would stand in a long line for water. The news of tap connection being installed in every house under Jal Jeevan Mission in the village seemed a ray of hope. Gradually taps were installed in every house. That day was no less than a festival for poetry, when water came from the tap of his house for the first time. Today, pure tap water is reaching every house of village Avarai. Women are now able to make better time for their families. Children are drinking clean water without any fear and are healthy. Diseases caused by contaminated water are now a thing of the past. Jal Jeevan Mission has not only solved the water problem but has also brought happiness and peace back into the lives of the villagers. Now in village Avarai, under Jal Jeevan Mission, 100 percent houses are benefiting from tap water in every house.
While sharing her experience, Mrs. Kavita Chauhan says, this scheme is no less than a boon for us. I am grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai ji. Now our life is not full of struggle but of peace.
