Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan on Sunday criticized Chief Minister MK Stalin for calling Governor RN Ravi’s decision of not addressing the recent session of the Assembly as childish, saying such arrogance is not right. Raj Bhavan said in a post on social media that people will not tolerate any shameless insult to the country and the Constitution.
Raj Bhavan said on ‘X’, “MK Stalin has said that the emphasis on proper respect for the national anthem and adherence to the fundamental duties enshrined in the Constitution is absurd and childish. “Thank you to him for showing your true intentions,” the post said. He has shown that he subscribes to an ideology and is the leader of a coalition that does not respect India as a nation and does not accept the Constitution. Such arrogance is not good.”
Raj Bhavan said, “Please do not forget that Mother India is supreme and her children have supreme faith in the Constitution. They will not tolerate such brazen insults.” A day earlier, Stalin had alleged that Governor Ravi was unable to digest that the state was developing and his decision of not addressing the Assembly was childish.
Ravi had left the Assembly on January 6 without giving his traditional address. Raj Bhavan later said that he was in deep pain because the national anthem was not played. The Chief Minister had said in the State Assembly on Saturday that in the year 2022, Ravi gave his address without any changes, but for the next three years he refrained from giving his traditional address citing absurd reasons.
