Preparations have started to create ‘Dhoom’ once again on the big screen. Earlier it was reported that Ranbir Kapoor will be a part of the next installment of this Bollywood blockbuster franchise. Now a new report has claimed that the shooting of this film will start in April 2026 next year. These days Ranbir is shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ in Mumbai.
According to the report, Ranbir Kapoor will also adopt a new look for ‘Dhoom 4’. Currently he is shooting for ‘Love and War’ with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Whereas further, he will also be seen in the role of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’.

The report quoted a source as saying, ‘Ranbir Kapoor will be given a separate one for ‘Dhoom 4’. So, before starting its shooting, he will complete his two existing projects. ‘Dhoom 4’ will go on floors in April next year. The production team is currently busy casting two lead actresses and one villain for the film.
The villain of the film will be from South cinema
It is said that preparations are on to cast a South Indian superstar for the role of villain in the film. It is said that Surya has been approached for this. The first film of Yash Raj Films’ superhit ‘Dhoom’ franchise was released in 2004. It featured Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra along with John Abraham. After this, ‘Dhoom 2’ came in 2006, in which Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra were with Hrithik Roshan. Whereas in ‘Dhoom 3’ released in 2013, Aamir Khan was in a double role with Abhishek and Uday.

In September last year, it was reported that work on ‘Dhoom 4’ has started under the supervision of Aditya Chopra. The film is in the pre-production phase and like the previous three films, the script of ‘Dhoom 4’ has been prepared by Aditya Chopra in collaboration with Vijay Krishna Acharya. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in gray shade in ‘Dhoom 4’, which will be a reboot film. This time, instead of Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, a pair of two police friends will be seen in the film, for which two actors of the young generation will be cast.
Ranbir’s ‘Animal Park’ will be delayed now
Talking about Ranbir Kapoor’s work front, he currently also has the sequel of ‘Animal’, ‘Animal Park’. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga had recently confirmed that he will make ‘Animal’ a three-film franchise. Currently, Vanga is busy with her next film ‘Spirit’ with Prabhas, so ‘Animal Park’ will have to wait.
Release date of ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Love and War’
Talking about Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’, in this film, while Ranbir will play Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi has been cast in the role of Mother Sita. KGF fame Yash will be seen in the role of Ravana in this. The budget of this film is Rs 835 crore and this epic will release in Diwali 2026. Ranbir’s romantic-drama ‘Love and War’ is scheduled to release on March 20, 2026.
